How Does The Literature Of This Country Communicate Its Values?

 

Fifth Grade Students worked to research information to read to be informed about South Africa. Students read about famous leaders and influential people from South Africa. Also in class students read poems and fables written by South African authors.

The 5^th grade class has been quite busy with learning about South Africa. They learned about the cultural diversity of the land, and how these differences have found harmony in a volatile region.

In language arts the students read folktales and fables from Zulu tribes, specifically Unanana and the Enormous One Tusked Elephant.
